The band was established around 2011. Original band members were Chris Switzer (guitar/singer), Kevin Fraser (Bass) and Branden Heinemann (Percussion/Cajon). Since Covid, Branden decided to step away from the music scene and we have juggled a few new drummers. Kevin Blackwood has wound up being well known regular.

Hello, My name is Chris. I sing and play the guitar for hippy and the squids………. I dance,,, not so good.
Well, Singer Chris is retired Navy and works a contractor job. Bass player Kevin does a lot of work at Gold Mt Golf Course. Kevin Blackwood / Drums actually teaches drums on the regular. Both Kevins are in multiple band while Chris does some Solo Acoustic stuff on the side. We have additional drummers that fill in if Drummer Kevin cant make it to our shows: Pat, Dave and Devin have been some regulars we call upon for gigs and they are all great percussionists.

We can usually get everything set up in about an hour but we typically like to arrive at least 2 hours early to evaluate any obstacles or issues we may occur.

Yes, we have a wireless microphone that can be handed to you and you can make your announcement. Please let us know before hand so we can get that equipment ready for your use.
Our outside gigs usually range from May/June (still a questionable time period) to about Octobirish. Any thing between those months just becomes to hard on the equipment and players due to temperature and dampness for the electronics.
